About

I am a PhD Candidate in the Senner Lab in the Environmental Conservation Department at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

I use animal movement data to better understand how long-distance migratory birds might respond to environmental change, and how conservation efforts can be targeted to turn the tide for these threatened species. I am passionate about mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in data analysis, visualization, and communication to glean insights from ecological data that can inform effective conservation action for declining species and habitats.

My current research uses GPS tracking data to uncover clues about how birds select habitat at migratory stopover sites, and how those choices might influence their entire annual cycle.
